By now the fat guy with skinny hot wife thing is tired and should be put to bed, but before it become too overdone and too cliche there was "The King of Queensseasons 1-9 seasons 1-9dvd boxset". The King of Queens 1-9 is about a chubby mail driver called Doug who lives in a house with his working wife Carrie and her dad. Each episode peaks into a moment of their lives and their friendships and for 9 amazing years we grew to love the Heffernans.
The key to The King of Queens dvd boxset success at the end of the day is it's simplicity. This is not a show where each episode has some wild idea or some crazy scheme. The King of Queens dvdwas just simply about a man, his wife, his friends and his father in law that lived in his basement and the normal adventures they had in their everyday life like Doug trying to get Carrie to let him eat junk food, or trying to trick Carrie into letting him go somewhere he know she doesn't want him to go.
The humor of The King of Queens 1-9 dvd boxsetfor me comes from the juxtaposition of the characters. You have Doug who is a hilarious all over the place, physical comedy type of person, then you have Carrie who is this mean, sarcastic, very still and loud woman that completely contrasts Doug, and yet that contrast is what makes them funny and what makes their relationship flourish.The King of Queens dvd boxset Doug could be doing crazy things and saying stupid stuff and Carrie just stands The King of Queens 1-9 dvdthere looking at him and when he's done she asks if he's done then just walks away. Then you have Arthur who is just funny because he's so loud, a little racist and spur of the moment type of person. The humor between the friends is great too, Doug is the clown of the friends, the king of queens seasons Deacon is the level headed best friends 1-10, Spence is the shy nerd and Danny is well......I don't know how to describe Danny.

The American edit of Skins seasons 1-3 dvd boxset: Volume 1 left off a rather sublime ending of Sid singing "Wild World" by Cat Stevens as the gang finishes out their night's activities. The ending takes on a decidedly different, cheerier feeling but was it more appropriate than the US version? After a crazy night of debauchery, there were friendships broken, lives imperiled and so forth - but most importantly Tony has been hit by a bus. Walking around singing a Cat Stevens song is interesting, though a bit corny, and doesn't quite end on the melancholy note required for a proper transition into Skins 1-3: Volume 2. Considering the events of Skins seasons: Volume 2 the upbeat UK ending seems even more deceptive and inappropriate; maybe that was the series' creators' attempts at Shakespearian levity between bouts of tragedy or maybe it was genuinely a moment of corny weakness - whatever the case, the lighthearted cheer of Skins seasons 1-3 dvd boxset: Volume 1 takes a backseat for a more drama-packed second installment.There's a hefty heaping of little extra featurettes on the final disc of Skins dvd: Volume 2. First off we have "Christmas with Skins seasons 1-3 dvd", a "Night Before Christmas" parody following Chris and Anwar who have a decidedly disappointing Christmas with an over-the-top cheesy ending. "Musical Auditions" is a slightly humorous sketch piece of numerous comical personalities trying out for the college musical. It's never quite as funny as it wants to be - like Carlos Mencia. "Tony's Nightmare", an interestingly tortured piece, has a Tony and Sid moment that's decidedly odd. Tony attempts to put together a puzzle of himself (such a clever metaphor) as Sid delivers foreboding lines of a remarkably unfriendly nature. The piece titled "Cassandra" keeps up with the odd nature of Cassie's character in the second volume of Skins dvd boxset. There are a few other features, and overall they're only for the true fans of the show. If you're watching Skins 1-3 dvd boxset: Volume 2 to waste time the extra features will be more involved than you want to get.
